Jump in at any community. Check to see where the artists are - use the artist web pages or the Studio Tour Guidebook. Pick the ones you would like to visit and go see some art!
Follow the route to the next community and check out the artists studios and galleries there.
In Lake Placid and Saranac Lake you can park your car and walk, touring both Studio Tour locations as well as the local shops and businesses.
The last weekend of September will be peak fall colors - be sure to get out of the villages and take some of the scenic routes that connect them. If you choose to go from Wilmington over to Vermontville, you will go right past the Whiteface Mt. Toll Road - a drive to the summit will give you a fantastic view.
