                            Sun Aug 17 - Wed Aug 20, 2014: FREE ADMISSION TO WILD CENTER
 
                            The Wild Center, the amazing Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks in nearby Tupper Lake will offer free admission to artists who would like to paint on the grounds of the museum anytime between Sunday 8/17 and Wed. 8/20. Learn about the Adirondacks by touring the museum, then head outside to the museum trails and paint the pond, wildflowers, woods, or oxbow of the Raquette River. Also painting opportunities indoors.
 
  Tues Aug 19 - Wed 20, 2014: "PAINT THE ADIRONDACKS" Workshop with Gayle Levée.  Internationally acclaimed artist instructor Gayle Levée will be with us this August to demonstrate and teach you the most important concepts of painting this challenging subject. With an emphasis on color, brushwork and composition, Levée will teach you how to understand the mountains and the way light plays on thier forms. We will paint outside, with an indoor studio in case of inclement weather. The cost for this two-day workshop is $200 with a $50 deposit, due two weeks in advance. It will also be included on the Plein Air Festival registration form as soon as it becomes available. SPACE WILL BE LIMITED - REGISTER EARLY! 
 Tuesday Aug 19 or 20, 2014: WILDERNESS CANOE/PAINTING TRIP. 9 am - 3 pm - guided paddle to scenic painting locations in the St. Regis Canoe Area. $75. Canoes and paddling equipment provided. Bring your own gear and lunch. Plan is to do a short paddle to a place where you can get out of the canoes and set up to paint along the shoreline. You can also bring your own boats and attend at a reduced cost. Or just rent a canoe for $35 and plan your own trip. Numbers will be limited, so if interested, Register for the Plein Air event and we will then provide contact info for the Paddling trip.
