Artists are invited to come to the historic village of Saranac Lake for the 4th Annual Plein Air Festival August 16 - 19, 2012, part of the "Great Adirondack Days" celebration.


Each year that Saranac Lake ArtWorks has hosted this event it has grown, more artists have attended, the quality of the artwork has improved, and there have been more sales!

At this time any plein air artist is welcome to register and participate. There will be a Juror of Awards for the Sunday Show & Sale in order to recognize outstanding works.

Nestled among the lakes and mountains of the Adirondack Park in northern New York state, Saranac Lake has an abundance of charming village scenes, the Saranac Lake "River Walk", and is surrounded by panoramic mountain views, rivers, lakes, ponds, scenic forest locations, rustic lodges, and small farms.  Everyone can find interesting subject matter or scenic views. Spectators welcome!

The Adirondack Artists' Guild, 52  Main St., will be event headquarters and  the source of information for the event.  A Show & Sale of works created during the weekend will held on Sunday afternoon from 12 - 4 at the Town Hall.
