Artists and photographers came to the historic village of Saranac Lake for the 2nd Annual Plein Air Festival August 19 - 22, 2010, part of the "Great Adirondack Days" celebration.

32 artists registered and at least 100 paintings were created! Diane Leifheit, of Gabriels, NY, won the Best of Show Award.

Nestled among the lakes and mountains of the Adirondack Park in northern New York, Saranac Lake has an abundance of charming village scenes, the Saranac Lake "River Walk", and is surrounded by panoramic mountain views, rivers, lakes, ponds, scenic forest locations, rustic lodges, and small farms.  Everyone can find interesting subject matter or sceenic views. Spectators welcome!

Borealis Color, 52-B Main St., was event headquarters and will be the source of information for the 2011 event.  A show and sale of works created during the weekend was held on Sunday afternoon from 12 - 4 at the Town Hall.
