Saranac Lake is a popular tourist destination and many different lodging options are available from campgrounds to cozy, family owned motels right in the Village on Lake Flower, B & B's, cottages and camps, and whole houses available for rent which is a great solution for several artists traveling together. They do fill up quickly during the busy summer months, so early reservations are recommended. Visit the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce web site or contact them directly for lodging information (518) 891-1990 or ). They can help you find the type of lodging you need or provide you with a list so you can investigate them on your own.
We also have a very limited number of individuals and families who are willing to host an artist in their home. Artists who would like to take advantage of this lodging opportunity should indicate that on their registration form or contact Sandy Hildreth, 518-891-1388 or [email protected]. Once your registration is received we will put you in touch with an appropriate host. No meals or entertaining is to be expected and it has been suggested that artists consider giving their host a painting in return for their courtesy. Host sites will be provided on a first come - first served basis. Several are willing to accept multiple artists so if you are coming with friends, make that known.
