CALL FOR COVER ART: the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking artwork submissions for the cover of the 2018 Visitors Guide. Send to . Subject line must read Cover Art 2017 Submit and last name of the artist. Artwork must be submitted as a jpeg file at 300 dpi no longer than 900 pixels on the vertical. The Chamber cannot accept larger files. Label the file Title_Name.jpg Example: SunriseSaranac_JohnDoe.jpg The subject is the artist’s view and interpretation of the lifestyle that makes the Saranac Lake area such a wonderful place to live. Whether it is iconic landmarks, intimate lake views and grand mountain vistas, hometown warmth, outdoor recreation and laid back atmosphere, show us what inspires you about this special place. The winning entry will grace the cover of the 2018 Visitors Guide. The artist will be awarded a 1/4 page ad for the use of the work. Artwork is required to be in a vertical format. All work must be original and been created in the last 3 years CALL FOR EXHIBIT PROPOSALS: The Wilson Art Gallery of the Noreen Reale Falcone Library at Le Moyne College seeks proposals for exhibitions of visual art for the 2018-19 academic year. The Gallery has openings for exhibitions lasting five to six weeks each between September 2018 and June 2019. Proposals must be received by close of business, Monday, March 26, 2018 for consideration. Check with them about a possible exhibit. ![]() WANT TO TEACH A CLASS AT THE WILD CENTER? Art in the Park series at the Wild Center. Artists come in on Monday mornings through July and August and teach a three-hour class inside the museum. These workshops have been very successful, and provide an opportunity for our visitors to engage with the center and with nature in interesting ways.
