The Artist at Work Studio Tour occurs the last weekend of September - at the peak of our fall colors in northern NY.
The Tour highlights the amazing talent of the artists and craftspeople who live and work in Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Jay, Wilmington, Au Sable Forks, Rainbow Lake, Onchiotoa, Gabriels, Paul Smiths, and Lake Clear - in the Adirondack Mts.
Area galleries take part with special exhibits and artists on hand to talk about and demonstrate their work. Visiting talented artists in their own private studios - to watch them weave, or paint, or carve, or hammer red hot iron, or shape clay on a potter's wheel, and more - is so valuable.
